How to Safely Road-Trip During a Pandemic
Road trips through The Maritimes Provinces are an absolute great time given the amazing natural beauty we have in our neck of the woods. With the changes that Covid-19 have brought to our doorstep though, we have found ourselves in a new situation. So while it's definitely still possible to road trip, especially within our own provinces, the rules have changed a bit. Read on to find out how to safely road trip during a pandemic.
Stay Safe
When traveling, be sure to have masks, hand sanitizer, and any other PPE that might make you and others feel comfortable. Follow all physical distancing rules, and if someone at a location asks you to do something, don't fight them.
Be Flexible
The places you want to stop may not operate as they did previously. With new government regulations in place, you may find that things look different and you should be prepared for that. Remember that nature based activities have been less affected by the pandemic, so try to focus on the great outdoors!
Plan
While flexibility is key, you always want to have as much information as possible. Some sites may not be first come first served as they had been previously. You may need tickets or appointments due to capacity limitations. Check out websites, Google listings, and social media for more information.
Support Local
Local businesses are the backbone of communities. When you're on the road, try to patronize local as often as possible to help them stay afloat and support their communities.
