As you embark upon this very exciting time in your life, we know you will have many questions. At RightLane Driver Training, we are here to help you interpret the guidelines and make the right choices to help you become a safe and competent driver. Here are a few of the most frequently asked questions that new drivers ask, as well as some associated links to Government websites that outline exactly what you are about to embark upon.
At what age can I get my license and when can I begin my drivers education course? In the provinces of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, you must be 16 years of age to begin the Graduated Licensing Programs. For those who are anxious to begin this process, you may attend the drivers education classroom portion of the course prior to your 16th birthday. In New Brunswick, you may attend the classroom instruction up to 60 days prior to the date of your 16th birthday. In Nova Scotia, you may attend the drivers education classroom sessions up to 60 days prior to your 16th birthday. However, in both provinces, you cannot begin the in car portion of your course until after your 16th birthday and after you have secured your beginners permit from Access Nova Scotia or Service New Brunswick.
